How to do it

  1. 1

The Leaning Cable Lateral Raise keeps your lateral deltoid under tension for a larger part of the movement than the standing cable lateral raise, so each rep works harder.

  2. 2

With cable machines, the lateral raise keeps constant tension on the muscle as you lift and lower the load. Since muscle growth and strength gains depend directly on how much the muscle is stretched during the exercise, cable machines fatigue the muscles sooner and can produce greater strength gains.

  3. 3

The Leaning Cable Lateral Raise strengthens the stabilizing muscles around your shoulders and helps improve muscle balance. It also creates a bigger overload at the top of the raise. It is one of the most effective isolation exercises for growing and shredding the shoulder heads.
