Overview

Thigh fly (Adductor Magnus Stretch), also called the Adductor Magnus Stretch or Inner Thigh Stretch, is a flexible move for building inner thigh mobility, flexibility, and strength. You lie on your back, raise your legs toward the ceiling, then open and close them in a controlled pattern to target the inner thigh muscles.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Starting Position

Lie on your back with your legs together and lifted toward the ceiling. Keep your hips pressed firmly into the floor.

  2. 2

    Stretching Movement

Open your legs slowly out to the sides until you reach a comfortable range, and feel the stretch through your inner thighs. Stay here for 10-15 seconds and keep your breathing steady.

  3. 3

    Return to Starting Position

Bring your legs back together with control, then return to the starting position.

  4. 4

    Repetitions

Perform the stretch for 2-4 repetitions, and rest briefly between rounds if you need to.

Form tips & common mistakes

Keep your hips anchored to the floor throughout the movement.
