Overview
Dynamic stretching uses controlled, active movement. Do it before training to raise your heart rate and warm up your muscles. Move with control, pause, repeat, and gently go deeper each round to build more range of motion.
How to do it
- 1
The adductor group sits on the inner thigh and includes the pectineus, adductor brevis, adductor longus, adductor magnus and gracilis. To keep these muscles loose and mobile, add dynamic stretches to your warm-up and static stretches to your cooldown routine. Regular adductor stretching can boost flexibility and performance, while also helping prevent injury and stiffness.
- 2
Dynamic stretching before exercise increases circulation, gets your muscles ready to move, and temporarily expands your range of motion.
