Overview
The Low Cable Tricep Kickback is a resistance exercise for the triceps brachii. Use a cable machine with a low pulley attachment. Drive the arm backward while the elbow stays fixed. This keeps the triceps working hard through a strong contraction.
It suits bodybuilders, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts who want to build and shape the back of the arms while supporting overall upper-body aesthetics.

How to do it

- Connect a single-handle grip to the low pulley on a cable machine.
- Choose a light to moderate weight so you can stay in control.
- Face the cable machine and hold the handle with one hand.
- Step back, then hinge at the hips so your torso leans slightly forward.
- Keep your elbow tucked close to your torso and bend it to 90 degrees.
- 2
Execution
- Push your arm straight back until the elbow is fully extended, while the upper arm stays still.
- Contract your triceps hard at the top of the rep.
- Lower slowly to the start, maintaining tension in the triceps.
- Continue for the desired number of reps, then switch arms.
