Overview

Tighten your abs, then lift your right leg back to hip height while you raise your left arm to shoulder height. Hold that position for 10 seconds. Lower back to the start, then switch sides. Keep a straight line from your shoulders to your hips the entire time.

How to do it

  1. 1

This exercise targets your hips, back, shoulders, and core muscles while helping build overall stability.

  2. 2

Arm Leg Raises also demand concentration, train your limbs to move together, and support better balance and coordination.

  3. 3

You can use this exercise as part of a warm-up. It can challenge even the smallest muscle fibers from multiple angles to strengthen the core. It is also a safe and effective way to build strength and balance in your spine, back, and neck muscles. A strong spine structure and strong back muscles can support better posture and help relieve and prevent back pain.
